Gr4de is a grade calculator app that helps students track their GPA and Weighted GPA — and actually prove their academic performance to colleges.
The problem
Many schools don't calculate Weighted GPA, which means students taking AP, Concurrent Enrollment, and Honors courses don't get credit for the extra difficulty. Their transcripts undersell their actual achievement.
The solution
Gr4de calculates both standard and Weighted GPA, then generates presentable reports students can showcase to college admissions. It makes AP and Honors coursework look as impressive as it actually is.
The journey
Started as a mobile app project in 2022 and grew into something much bigger. I took it to the FBLA National Competition in Orlando, Florida in 2024 and achieved 5th place nationally.
My role
As Lead Developer, I designed and built the entire app — GPA calculations, report generation, and the mobile experience.
